summer tour 2015 NEW poster

We leave tomorrow for a month-long tour of Europe. We’re playing lots of cool shows with lots of good bands, and some amazing festivals too. Ourselves and Lorraine are still looking for a show on 13/7 anywhere between Serbia and Italy. If you can help us, please do.

While I’m at it, here’s an update on the merch desk: after you’ve picked up our LP, the split w/ Coma Regalia & Heart on My Sleeve and one of the few remaining copies of “For You and All the Rest…” (all of which you’re obviously going to do), you can grab one of these handsome tote bags to carry it all home in:

BUT, if you really want the world to know you like those records you just bought, you’re going to want a t-shirt to go with them:

Leftovers will go online after the tour. Please remember that if you order any records from our webstore in July, it won’t be sent until August on account of us being in a van somewhere and not at the post office sending you stuff. We’ll get it to you ASAP once we’re home. Thanks.

See you soon, friends.

Travel

We’re on tour again in less than a month! Here’s the list of shows for our summer tour which lasts for the whole of July. We’ll be playing new songs and stuff from Lights Begin to Dance, and we’ll have the LP with us for the first time, plus new shirts etc. We still have three gaps to fill, so if you can help, please get in touch!

Five of these shows are also with Lorraine from Vienna, Austria. They’re a great band that we saw for the first time at our show in Graz earlier this year. Go and listen to them!

summer tour 2015 poster hi res

Thanks, Europe.

Since we’ve been home for a couple of weeks and the photos/journal still aren’t ready to go online, I figured I should post something here in the interim.

Our Euro tour was amazing. We met a bunch of excellent people, saw loads of good cats and dogs, received customary abuse from border control and consumed a truly disgusting volume of Premium-Cola. Huge thanks as always to everyone who helped us out, and to our new pal Brad for driving us.

On the other hand, we had to cancel a show in Le Mans, France after some mechanical stuff I don’t understand left us stranded in Dole (I wouldn’t recommend visiting this nothing town on your next trip to France), feeling like royalty in our insurance-paid, hugely mediocre hotel. Sorry to anyone who wanted to see us in Le Mans – maybe one day we’ll finally play in France…

We also had to miss a show in Kent due to the promoter cancelling it. That’s not as good a story though; that just sucked.

BUT, we’re home and working on new songs/booking more shows – if you want to set up a show for us in Europe this year, get in touch. Our next show will be at a new space in Aberdeen for the Carson Wells LP release, along with Womps (formerly Algernon Doll). The venue is tiny, so space is limited – get there early or ask to have a space kept for you!

Our record also finally exists in physical form – pre-orders and everything will be online soon along with leftover shirts and 10” splits from tour. If you still haven’t heard the album, you can listen to it here.

Merchandise

Here are some pictures of what we’ll be selling on tour. We leave tomorrow. See you all soon!

(Thanks to Sam & Hamlyn at Il Pleut Screenprinting for the excellent shirts. Give them your money, then listen to their bands, Boxkite and Trueth.)

Plus of course, we’ll have the distro from Black Lake Records!

Black Lake Records

Our friend Ewan runs a cool record label here in Aberdeen called Black Lake Records. He’s released records by loads of bands we like and he maintains a great distro on the side. On tour over the next couple of weeks we’ll be taking a bunch of his stuff with us, so if you want to pick up a Black Lake release or something from the distro without paying shipping for it, come and see us at the merch table.

Obviously, you should pick up a Cavalcades record/tape/shirt while you’re at it……

Euro tour!

tour poster feb 15

First show of tour is in just a few days! We can’t wait to see old friends, make new ones, watch great bands, enjoy stuff we can’t get in the UK and explore some countries we haven’t played before.

As well as copies of our split 10″ w/ Coma Regalia & Heart On My Sleeve and some new t-shirts, we’ll also have a new EP on cassette called For You and All the Rest, Forever Until the End with us, kindly released by Tief in Marcellos Schuld Records. It consists of live session recordings of an old song, a song from Lights Begin to Dance (which you can still stream HERE), a brand new song and our first ever cover. None of this will be online until after the tour is over, so if you want to hear it any time soon, or guarantee getting a shirt in your size, come to a show!
